PDP Suspends Governor Because He Allegedly Didn’t Pick Bamanga Tukur’s Call

News emerging state that the reason for PDP's suspension of Governor Aliyu Wamakko of Sokoto state was allegedly due to the Governor not picking up phone calls from Bamanga Tukur, the PDP National Chairman.

In a statement released in Abuja on Thursday, PDP spokesman, Olisa Metuh claimed the Wamakko was suspended because when Tukur called to ask him (Wamakko) to explain his recent comments, he (Tukur) was unable to reach him.

The Party said a letter was written to Governor Wamakko but was responded to by the PDP state Secretary; and this act, the PDP and Presidency regard as an insult, hence the decision to suspend the governor.

Governor Wamakko is out of the country on an official trip and he says he's sure the government knows and a source hinted that Wamakko will “react” on his return.
